Returning Home

Former President Bush returned to Texas today, back to the ranch at Crawford. As I watched the inauguration and the departure of the Bush's I thought of his tenure as president.

George Bush has served our nation as president during some very difficult times. After September 11 he was the person that we looked to for comfort and direction. The decision to enter into war with Afghanistan and Iraq had was not an easy one.

Our nation is not the same country it was in 2001. Not only are we at war with 2 different countries but our economy is in a recession and that affects everyone. Only time will tell how history will will review his time in office.

I may not have always agreed with every decision that President Bush made but I am grateful that he was there to lead our nation during these last eight years. Thank you and welcome home.
